Director of Training and Certifications

The Director of Training & Certifications provides strategic direction and tactical execution for the development, integration and facilitation of training initiatives that support both employees and customers.  Furthermore, he/she develops and oversees Fonteva’s certification program.  This position includes sales of training services to customers to attain billable targets and commitments.  In addition, he/she manages the recruitment, performance and growth of Training team members.

 

RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Become an expert on Salesforce platform features and Fonteva products
  • Establish and manage Fonteva’s certification program
  • Manage Fonteva’s Learning Management System (LMS) and provide strategic direction/vision for continued enhancement
  • Oversee the training tools and programs delivered to internal and external customers
  • Create instructional material and select suitable delivery methods and training aids
  • Research, develop and implement e-learning modules, on-line tools and videos to provide blended learning solutions
  • Manage staff of trainers and documentation specialists in providing world-class service to internal and external customers
  • In conjunction with Training staff, provide product and other training to customers and employees
  • Support all departments on ad-hoc product questions
  • Measure effectiveness of learning and development programs and provide modifications as needed
  • Utilize proven methodologies for needs assessment including data collection processes to ensure program effectiveness
  • Stay abreast of, incorporate and share best practices in training
  • Other duties as business needs arise and require, as agreed with Supervisor.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or equivalent work experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • Salesforce certification preferred; prior experience with SalesForce.com in a business environment a plus
  • Experience developing and maintaining a Certification and maintenance program
  • At least 8 years of experience in the software industry
  • Strong experience creating and delivering face-to-face training and e-learning modules
  • Strong project management skills
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles, training design, competency models and ROI techniques
  • Proven and agile facilitation skills that lead to engagement and learning for participants
  • Understanding of standard business processes, including accounting, required
  • Knowledge of SaaS solutions and Salesforce.com, Google, etc.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at presentation to customers and senior management
  • Detailed, organized and results-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with full project life cycle from requirements through deployment
  • Demonstrated interest in non-profits and associations a plus
  • Travel necessary as required by business needs
